Child Safety Statement

Last updated: June 2026

1Our Commitment

Skykids Africa is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for every child in our care. The safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority — it is non-negotiable and embedded in everything we do.

2Safeguarding Principles

• Every child has the right to be safe from harm, abuse, and exploitation • All children are treated with dignity and respect regardless of background • We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse of any kind • Child safety is everyone's responsibility — staff, teachers, parents, and students • We act in the best interest of the child in all decisions

3Teacher Vetting & Training

All Skykids Africa teachers and staff undergo: • Background verification checks before engagement • Child safeguarding training as part of onboarding • Regular refresher training on child protection protocols • Ongoing performance monitoring and feedback • Signed commitment to our Code of Conduct and child safety policies

4Online Safety Measures

• All live classes are conducted on secure, access-controlled platforms • Class sizes are kept small for proper supervision • Recording of classes requires parental consent • Chat and messaging features are monitored • Students cannot contact teachers outside of official platform channels • Coding environments have content filters and safety measures • Platform access requires authenticated login

5Reporting Concerns

If you have any concern about a child's safety — no matter how small — please report immediately: • Email: skykidsafrica@gmail.com (mark as URGENT - Child Safety) • Phone/WhatsApp: +254 735 846 076 • In-platform: Use the report feature in Messages All reports are taken seriously, treated confidentially, and investigated promptly. We will involve relevant authorities (including the Directorate of Children's Services, Kenya) where required by law.

6Parent & Guardian Role

We encourage parents and guardians to: • Maintain open communication with their children about online experiences • Monitor their child's online activity appropriately for their age • Review their child's platform messages and projects periodically • Report any concerns to us immediately • Attend parent-teacher check-ins when offered • Keep contact information up to date

7Continuous Improvement

We regularly review and update our child safety policies to reflect best practices, emerging risks, and feedback from our community. This statement is reviewed annually or sooner if significant changes occur.
